Mohammad A. Syed is highly experienced in the practice areas of pharmaceutical litigation,
negligence, mass torts, products liability litigation and medical malpractice.
Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Mr. Syed received his undergraduate education at the
University of Rochester, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Economics and Political Science.
Mr. Syed attended George Washington University School of Law, where he earned his Juris
Doctorate. Mr. Syed was admitted to the bar of the State of New York in January, 2001 and District of Columbia in February 2002.
He was co-author (along with Michelle A. Parfitt and Michael W. Heaviside) of
the article titled Critical Review of the Learned Intermediary Doctrine in States
Where Ritalin Suits are Pending, American Conference Institute, March, 2001.
Mr. Syed is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar
Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. and
the American Trial Lawyers' Association.
He practices at the HermanMathis office in Washington, D.C.
