David K. Fox is an associate of HermanMathis partner firm Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar, L.L.P.
A native of Michigan, Mr. Fox graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint in 1978, with a B.A. in English. After a semester of graduate business study at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, he attended Tulane Law School, where he received his Juris Doctorate in May 1981. Mr. Fox also completed his M.B.A. at the University of New Orleans in 1998, where his emphasis was in finance and management information systems.
Mr. Fox is licensed in Louisiana (1982), Wisconsin (1989), and Illinois (1994), and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Wisconsin State Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association. He has been admitted in the Eastern District of Louisiana and Western District of Wisconsin, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Fox clerked for a year with HHK&C and became an associate with the firm in 1982.
Mr. Fox has developed a diverse practice, which has included bankruptcy, fraud, and other commercial litigation; employment and civil rights litigation, including ADEA actions; medical negligence; and construction litigation.
Currently, Mr. Fox is playing a significant role in HermanMathis slave labor litigation in California on behalf of former American POWs who were forced laborers of Japanese companies during World War II, and their heirs. He is also working on “perm-temp” cases on behalf of misclassified “employees.”
Primarily, Mr. Fox practices at the HermanMathis office in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Atlanta, Georgia.
