Mrs. Margaret P. Ellis is one of the founding partners of HermanMathis.
A highly experienced litigator, she has practiced law throughout Mississippi and other states,
primarily representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases and a variety of tort claims, including
insurance litigation, environmental matters, and other mass torts.
From the time of her admission to the Bar in 1983, she has held every position of prominence in
the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association, including Parliamentarian, 1988-89; Secretary, 1989-
90; Treasurer, 1991-92; and Vice President, 1992-93. In addition, Mrs. Ellis proudly served
as the group’s first woman President from 1994-95.
An active member of The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Margaret P. Ellis is setting a
high standard for attorneys everywhere.
